Security

Aspen Hills prides itself in safety and security.  We strive to protect the owners and their assets.   Please read over this page.  If you have a security issue or question please reach out to a member of the board. Aspen hills is protected with 3 locking gates at its entrances.  We also have camera on each gate.  But most importantly we have you.  If you see or know something please let us know as soon as possible.  Please report suspicious activity, theft, vandalism or even a bear sighting.

  • Please remember due to close proximity of lots, cabins and trailers there is no hunting or shooting allowed. We don’t want anyone getting hurt. Fortunately we are close to lots of hunting areas like skyline drive or a practice shooting range.
  • Please drive slow.   We care about all of you and blind corners, dirt and speed make for a bad day.
  • Respect Private Property by not trespassing or riding ATV’s on it.  Most of the ski lift area is not a common area it is private property.  Make sure to check who owns any land before riding on it. 🙂

Please be aware!

We have had reports of shed hunters (people looking for antlers that have fallen off deer and elk) looking for them at cabins in Aspen Hills as well as other mountain sub-divisions in the area. Please keep an eye on your cameras and make sure they are working and keep an eye out for people wandering around through properties when it is apparent the “real” owners are not there.  We would really like to catch these thieves.

Need access to the gate? see Key Requests Page

IMPORTANT NOTE:

In case of vandalism it is very helpful to have a posted lot number on your property.  It is also helpful to have a phone number on file with the association in case you need to be contacted.  If you need to report vandalism Vandalism Report Form

SECURITY CHECKS

Each weekend every gate is checked and the pictures on every camera are reviewed and saved.

So that emergency services can access the property we have added lock boxes to the gates so that emergency service may access a key.

LOCK BOXES

Aspen Hills provides lock boxes behind the welcoming signs at Gates #1 and #3.  The lock boxes may be used to provide  your key to contractors or family members to use in accessing your property.  There is no fee or permission required to use these lock boxes.

Please be aware, however, that you use these lock boxes at YOUR OWN RISK.  The Aspen Hills Association is NOT responsible for loss of keys due to any vandalism or damage.  It is strongly recommended that you use a container within the lock box to prevent vandals from easily extracting your key.

It is your responsibility to make sure any contractor or family members close and lock the gates as they come in or go out.
